A
Wall of Principles
Making a classroom a class room!
Once in a while, we find ourselves with a big, blank wall in a
classroom, and it is a wonderful idea for a Pre-session activity.
Here’s an idea to make it Unity and make it fun!
Divide the blank space into five sections. Label each one with one
of the five Unity principles…
- There Is One Power, God the Good
- The Spirit In Each Of Us Is A Part Of God
- Our Thoughts Are Living Things
- We Talk To God through Prayer and Meditation
- We Do What We Believe, We Walk Our Talk.
Next, let the young people find examples of each
principle over an extended period of time, say a month, or twelve
weeks. Let them paste or tape the example on the wall section with
that particular principle. It could be just a book title, or a
newspaper article, or a picture of someone who really
embodies that principle.
When the time for gathering is done, invite in the parents and the
congregation to see the wall. Your young people may be able to teach
a powerful lesson to the grown-ups! |
